Q: How will I know what services I need?
A: A licensed healthcare professional familiar with your medical history and current medical needs will prescribe the specific home health or hospice services to meet your unique requirements.
Q: Will Medicare, Medicaid or my insurance pay for services provided by SALMON VNA & Hospice?
A: SALMON VNA & Hospice accepts payment from Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans. If, however, we do not accept your insurance, we will work with your insurance provider on your behalf for the coverage you need. For more information, please call (508) 473-0862.
Q: Are all VNAs and Hospices the same?
A: No. While most VNA and Hospice agencies offer similar services, few can offer our hallmark level of dedication and quality care. The history of the VNA and Hospice of Greater Milford, coupled with that of SALMON Health and Retirement, makes us people on whom you can rely with confidence and trust to be effective healthcare providers in the communities we serve.
Q: Do you provide care for clients with special needs?
A: Yes! Our caregivers are trained to assist with most medical conditions. We provide care and support for patients with a wide variety of physical, emotional, psychological and social needs to enhance their potential for successful healing.
Q: How often will caregivers provide assistance?
A: We create schedules based on your individual needs and preferences. Our caregivers will work with you to develop timing that meets your needs and is convenient.
Q: Do you have a Medical Director?
A: Yes! Our Medical Directors lead our interdisciplinary teams and consult with your physician to help manage your unique plan of care.
Q: Can SALMON VNA & Hospice provide care in places other than my home?
A: Although SALMON VNA & Hospice services are often provided in a patient’s private home, many services can be delivered in other locations such as assisted living residences, skilled nursing centers and the homes of people already caring for the patient.
Q: What is SALMON Health and Retirement?
A: SALMON Health and Retirement is a family owned and operated organization, trusted providers of senior living services for more than 60 years. SALMON offers a full continuum of high quality residential and healthcare services, as well as child care and management consulting services.
Q: Are Salmon family members actively involved with SALMON Health and Retirement?
A: Yes! We have always been family owned and operated. Currently, third generation members of the Salmon family manage the organization: Matt Salmon is Chief Executive Officer; Kate Salmon-Robinson is Vice President and Director of Marketing Communications and Community Relations; and Andrew Salmon is Director of Network Development. Kimberly Malloy-Salmon, Matt’s wife, is SALMON’s Director of Rehabilitation Services.
