Community achieves great feat for third time
For the third year in a row, Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center at Northbridge has accomplished the tremendous feat of receiving a deficiency-free rating from the state Department of Public Health (DPH).
Beaumont at Northbridge executive director Carol Kapolka says the achievement is a direct result of “the effort the Northbridge team puts forth day in and day out compassionately and skillfully caring for our residents.
“With the support of our company-wide clinical staff, she said, the Northbridge group managed the lengthy process wonderfully and was able to secure a perfect survey for three years running, which is no small accomplishment!”
In the required annual inspection, state officials analyze several detailed factors including resident care, building environment, dietary procedures, cleanliness, medicine policy and safety, in addition to interviewing residents, family members and employees. After this year’s examination, officials found no flaws in the operations of the community.
The annual survey is one of many factors determining Beaumont’s 5-star national rating from CMS (the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services).
