A day in the life of a Tapestry Client
Variety and flexibility for the changing needs and abilities of clients.
A schedule of daily events developed to meet physical, cognitive, creative, emotional, spiritual and social needs in a therapeutic environment with attention to safety.

Social and Musical Programs
These programs are offered every day at the Adult Day Health Centers, providing clients opportunities for socialization and a sense of camaraderie in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Hosting these events allows staff members to join in the fun. Here, as everywhere, there’s always something special about celebrating festive occasions like birthdays and anniversaries surrounded by friends. Intergenerational programs with young children from SALMON Centers for Early Education, pet therapy, live entertainment and community sing-alongs are among the varied social opportunities offered.
Cognitive Enhancement Programs
These programs provide clients opportunities to both stimulate and improve their intellectual functioning. Activities such as What’s in a Word – definitions, Scattergories® -- for thinking outside the box, News Briefs – current events, Poetry Workshop – reading and listening, and Book Nook – book discussion, are among them. Different types of memory-stimulating games and activities are offered, all tailored to the various interests, needs, and abilities of those participating.
Exercise programs are held three times weekly at our Adult Day Health Centers. Each program is designed to meet the unique and specific needs of our clients; we sometimes incorporate free weights, other times, we use interesting and different approaches such as colorful tossing balls or silky scarves for tactile stimulation with lively music. The outcome goals of the different exercise activities focus on maintaining range of motion, muscle strengthening, managing pain, cardiovascular preservation and balance – all toward maximizing independence and promoting a sense of well-being.
Religious and Spiritual Programs
Our clients are provided with opportunities to meet their religious and spiritual needs on a routine basis. We offer both regularly scheduled worship services and the time for individual clients to meet with members of the clergy one-on-one. Local ministers, priests, rabbis, and other religious practitioners visit Beaumont frequently, to ensure that all residents have ample opportunity for interaction with them, and to make it possible for them to actively practice their chosen religious beliefs.
Additional programs that support the spirit include intergenerational programs, pet therapy visits, patriotic programs, outdoor and reminiscing activities.
