Our Residents and staff contribute beyond our walls.
The Willows at Worcester dove into service to the surrounding area from our opening in 2009, following the example of their independent living sister community, The Willows at Westborough.
The Willows at Worcester hosts courses sponsored by W.I.S.E., the Worcester Institute for Senior Education, founded by nearby Assumption College. Classes from religion to literature, history and current events are held in The Great Room. A complimentary light breakfast is provided for attendees.
The Willows at Worcester stays connected to current politics as the polling place for District 1, Ward 1, Precinct 2 in the City.
We also make regular donations of building materials and appliances to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore center.
The Willows provides financial support, models and door prizes at the annual Looks for Hope fashion show for Hope Lodge of Worcester. Hope Lodge is a service of the American Cancer Society offering free, temporary lodging for cancer patients visiting Massachusetts for ongoing treatment.
Greater Worcester Hadassah and other groups hold their meetings at The Willows, and numerous Residents and staff members volunteer for local senior centers, schools, charitable and cultural organizations.
As The Willows at Worcester grows, our service to the local community follows suit.
