Community Involvement

The Willows and its people make important contributions.

Living life to the fullest means helping others do the same, and The Willows management and Residents weave service into the fabric of every day.

Since our founding in 1987, The Willows at Westborough continuing care retirement community has created and promoted many opportunities to contribute to the greater community.

Our annual Free Summer Concert Series held on campus, with its variety of Jazz, Swing, and Big Bands, has become a family tradition among townspeople and Willows Residents alike. Music brings us all closer, and area charities such as the Westborough Community Chorus, Alzheimer’s Association, Siloam Masonic Lodge Angel Fund, Westborough Land Trust, Westborough Music Parents, Westborough Cultural Council, and Assabet Valley Pastoral Counseling Center benefit from donations collected during the concerts.

Both as individuals and through the organization, Willows Residents and staff members are involved in many causes throughout Central and Eastern Massachusetts. Whether it’s reading at a local school, knitting hats for children, or lending helping hands to local churches, food pantries, hospitals, senior centers or local organizations, The Willows shares time and talent.

A recent survey showed 37 local groups for whom The Willows community contributes time including: Westborough Tennis & Swim Club, Sudbury River Tennis Club, The Bridge of Central Massachusetts, Sudbury Valley of Trustees, National Brotherhood of Skiers, New Repertory Theatre, Watertown, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Symphony ProMusica.
