Learning through creative play and intergenerational programming for infants through Preschool

At all SALMON Centers for Early Education, we strive to provide a supportive environment with an appropriate blend of structured educational and social time for all of our children.

SALMON Centers recognize that the development of a well-adjusted individual is dependent upon the early years of their life. Of foremost importance to us is each child’s social and emotional development in a nurturing environment that includes attention to their safety and security. Evidence supports our belief that social and emotional readiness is crucial to a successful kindergarten transition, early social success and later accomplishments. To support this, we provide daily activities designed to allow children to be active participants in a setting that promotes each child’s sense of security and self-esteem.

We’re proud of what we offer: a healthy, loving environment in which each and every child receives the appropriate nurturing, guidance and stimulation to reach his or her fullest potential.

Children need plenty of exposure to real objects and experiences before they are ready to understand the meaning of symbols such as letters and numbers. Learning takes place as young children touch, manipulate and experiment with things and interact with people.

SALMON Centers welcome and respect all children and their families, regardless of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, disability, marital status, or sexual orientation.

Meet the Team

Carol Kapolka, Executive Director
I am delighted to guide the Northbridge campus, along with a great staff that keeps excellent care and genuine concern for each individual front and center. Both my mother and grandmother received the "SALMON touch" at Northbridge; I also trained here. Families can be confident our residents and clients are well served in every way toward their best quality of life.
