New Executive Director at The Willows at Worcester, Jeff Sellers, has been in the hospitality industry all his life. “I was born and raised in Asia and traveled the world growing up. I experienced different cultures and understood what it meant to be treated well; it motivated me to work in the hospitality field,” says Sellers.
In addition to the impact of COVID-19, other factors played into Seller’s transition to healthcare: “My dad worked in healthcare, and I also saw a lot of my family and friends making the switch. I was intrigued by it.”
Sellers also draws parallels between assisting guests in the hospitality industry and Residents at The Willows. He explains that, “In hospitality, it’s always important to find out what each guest needs to make their temporary home better; at The Willows, staff members show genuine interest in identifying each Resident’s needs to make their permanent home the best place it can be.”
Seller concludes, “I enjoy being at The Willows so much; it’s been a refreshing change. The health and retirement industry isn’t going anywhere; it’s growing.”
